Tips to overcome MBA Entrance Exam fear and Optimize your performance

MBA entrance exams such as CAT, SNAP, MH-CET, NMAT, XAT, etc need proper attention, accuracy, consistency, and hard work. In this blog, we will go through a few tips on how you can overcome fear and optimize your performance. You need to keep working hard for a good result.

Create your plan consistently

Consistency and Hard Work will help you to get a good score in your MBA Entrance Exams. For this, you need to make a proper plan with short-term and long-term goals. Short-term goals that you achieve will help you to get confidence and move ahead with your preparations.

Here is an example of your preparation.

Suppose you start with the ABC chapter of Quant- solve level 1, level 2, and level 3 of the chapter within 3 days. Once the chapter is over, you can give a test for the same chapter and analyze its solutions, this will boost your confidence

Always maintain your scores over a period, that will give you confidence

No matter how many unit tests or mock tests you have given, you should always maintain your scores that will help you to keep track of your performance. In the end, it is very important to be clear and satisfied at the time of the exams.

TIP: You can maintain an excel sheet in which you can keep updating the topic which you have completed or the mock test which you have taken. In the end, you will get to know your progress and it will boost your confidence when you check after 2 to 3 months

We might lose confidence in case we scoreless in mock tests

It’s ok if you score less in mock tests, most importantly you should learn to analyze the solutions of the mock tests. This will help you to know various types of questions and to identify your strengths and weakness

Make sure you talk to the students who have cracked the exam or the students who are studying with the reputed B-Schools

Talking to such students will help you to know the strategies about how to prepare for your entrance exams. This will also help you to boost your confidence and to learn time management. Such small things are very useful while preparing for exams

Always take small and frequent study breaks

It is very important to take breaks while studying to avoid burnout. Refresh your mind and body after a 3 hours mock test just by taking a walk or doing a physical activity which will help to relax and start the next session with a fresh mind. Exercise helps in blood circulation to all parts of your body for active functioning

Stay positive and think positive

The most important thing during the entire MBA entrance exam preparations is that you need to be positive. Being positive will help you to keep your mind positive and have good and positive thoughts while studying. This will result in putting more energy into solving different questions, analyzing mock tests, and helps you in improving efficiency. Never get demotivated or frustrated while preparing for exams as this results in poor performance
