MAT 2020 exam is an objective type national level exam conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) usually conducted four times in a year in February, May, September, and December since 1988. This exam is designed to measure a general candidate's aptitude ability and more than 600 B-School - national or international consider MAT Score for the MBA admission criteria based on its Score Cards issued to the candidates.
MAT being an exception conducts exams both in paper-based format and computer-based format on different dates in the same month. Candidates have the choice to appear in online or offline mode or both (that requires a bit high registration fees) but the MAT application form needs to be filled online itself as directed by AIMA. In the period of COVID 19 AIMA has come up with Remotely Proctored Internet-Based Exam (IBT) along with MAT CBT and PBT and the admit card for the same is released on the official website.
MAT 2020 test paper is of duration 2½ hours. It has 200 objective type questions in MCQs form and the difficulty level of MAT is less than CAT, XAT, IIFT but students can expect a descent moderate level. The test paper is mainly divided into 5 sections comprising 40 questions in each section. The major sections are Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Indian and Global Environment.
MAT marking scheme is regulated by AIMA. MAT 2020 scorecard displays scaled score out of 800 Marks and not out of 160 or 200 raw scores. According to the marking scheme each correct answer is awarded +1 Mark, while every wrong answer is penalized with a negative marking of -0.25 mark so, the maximum marks that a candidate can score is 200. Merit Score in MAT is calculated based on 4 sections only and the score of Indian & Global Environment is separately shown but they are not taken into account to calculate the merit or percentile in the MAT scorecard for a candidate.

Management Aptitude Test is a national-level management entrance exam conducted by AIMA and the registration process for MAT 2020 exam opened on March 5, 2020. However, due to the COVID 19 outbreak and its following countrywide lockdown, the MAT 2020 has been postponed to June 2020. MAT conducts exams both in a paper-based format and a computer-based format on different dates in the same month. The MAT registration fee for one MAT exam is Rs.1650/- and for two attempts for MAT, exams are Rs.2750/-. The MAT registration process is online only.

Step-1: Create login
New candidates going for MAT 2020 registration need to visit AIMA MAT website and click on New Candidate to Create Log in.
You have to fill the details to create Login. You must have a valid email ID for applying online. Press the button œSubmit. Once you fill the information in the form, it will not be changed.
The confirmation for the MAT Exam Registration 2020 will also be sent on your email as entered in the form. Please note that the Email-ID and Date of birth as filled by you will be used to login to the MAT website to fill the MAT online registration.
