About IIFT

IIFT 2020 MBA (IB) entrance exam date is December 1, 2019. For the first time IIFT entrance test will be held as computer-based test on Dec 1.  The last date to apply for IIFT MBA entrance exam is October 25, 2019.  The IIFT exam Registration Fee is Rs.2000/- which should be paid online only.  Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) MBA Admission Test-2020 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for the first time and not by IIFT.  The IIFT Exam Registration for MBA (IB) admission 2020 can be done at NTA IIFT website. The Registration process for IIFT exam had started on September 9, 2019 in the afternoon.

IIFT entrance exam score is accepted by Indian Institute of Foreign Trade for MBA (IB) admission in its three campuses - Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinada. MBA (International Business) at IIFT is the flagship 2 years full time program. It is considered as one of the best MBA programs with 100% placement and good exposure to international business. 

NTA will conduct IIFT 2020 MBA (IB) entrance test as a computer-based exam this year. The Director of IIFT Prof Manoj Pant had already confirmed that IIFT 2020 MBA entrance test will be a computer-based test instead of paper based test. The IIFT registration 2020 process is available at NTA website instead of IIFT admission website from September 9, 2019 to October 25, 2019. The IIFT 2019 exam date will lead to IIFT 2020 admission and therefore the IIFT entrance exam is more prominently known as IIFT 2020 instead of IIFT 2019, although the IIFT exam will be held in 2019. 

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) used to conduct IIFT admission Test annually for admission to its flagship MBA (IB) programme offered at its three campuses located at Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinada (AP). However, now the responsibility to conduct IIFT exam from this year has been assigned to National Testing Agency which will also conduct CMAT 2020 exam of AICTE

Eligibility Criteria

National Testing Agency will prescribe the eligibility criteria for IIFT 2020. It states the educational qualifications required by the candidate to appear for IIFT. The eligibility criteria of IIFT 2020 are different for various categories. Candidates failuring to meet IIFT eligibility criteria 2020, his/her admission will stand cancelled. Therefore, before filling the application form, aspirants must check for the IIFT 2020 eligibility criteria. IIFT exam is conducted for admission to the management programme of IIFT. IIFT 2020 will be conducted on December 1, 2019.

Candidates who wish to apply for the exam must check the IIFT 2020 eligibility criteria first. Here are the complete eligibility criteria for IIFT exam for this year.

  1. General category candidates with a minimum 3-year graduation degree in any discipline with 50% marks from a recognized university/institute/college are eligible to apply.
  2. SC, ST and PWD category candidates with minimum 45% marks in graduation are eligible to apply.
  3. Final year graduation students can also apply. However, they would need to submit the proof of requisite qualification by second week of October 2020
  4. Foreign nationals and NRIs can apply for IIFT entrance exam with a valid GMAT score which is not older than January 1, 2019.

    5. Candidates of any age can apply for IIFT entrance exam

IIFT 2020 Eligibility Criteria- NRI / Foreign National

  • Candidate must be a resident of outside India for not less than a period of 18 months as on December 31, 2019
  • Students must produce a certificate from high commission/Indian Embassy/ consulate with an application, stating where the candidate is placed. Also, the certificate must state that the candidate has been a resident of the country for more than 18 months, till December 31, 2019.
  • Aspirants must have a valid travel document or passport from a country other than India.
  • Candidate must obtain a valid GMAT score. GMAT taken before 1st January 2018 will not be considered.
  • Incase candidate has already appeared for another entrance exam in the year 2019, that student will not be considered eligible to apply for IIFT 2020.
  • Along with the application form, aspirants are required to submit a transcript of all academic degrees/ diplomas. Original documents are required to be produced at the time of admission.

What To Keep Ready Before Filling IIFT 2020 Registration Form

Before filling the IIFT 2020 application form aspirants must keep ready with them the following documents:

  • Scanned passport size photograph (black and white, in clear contrast)
  • Scanned signature
  • Scanned category certificate (if any)
  • Two copies of an academic mark sheet or certificate of X, XII, and graduation.
  • Copy of official entries on passport pages.
  • Copy of undertaking regarding the candidate had not appeared for any other MBA competitive exams such as XAT, CAT, or any other during the year 2019 (Only for NRI candidates).
  • Two letters of recommendation. First from someone who could evaluate the applicant's performance as professional as well as leadership and managerial skills. Second from any current manager or supervisor.

How To Fill IIFT Application Form 2020

Step 1- Register for IIFT 2020

Candidates will have to click on the link that has been provided on this page. Aspirants will be directed to the page of registration once the form is released online by IIFT.

Step 2- Click on the icon ADMISSION 2020

Once the student is directed on the main page, they will have to then click on the icon ADMISSION 2020 wherein students will see the instructions regarding the filling of form and then click on ˜Apply now.'

Step 3- Fill the IIFT Registration Form 2020

Students will be able to see the IIFT application form 2020 wherein it is mandatory to fill the following personal details:

  • Candidate's name
  • Father's/ Guardian's name
  • Mother's name
  • Gender
  • Category - SC/ST/OBC/PH
  • Date of Birth (DOB)
  • E-mail address
  • Mobile number
  • Residential Address

Step 4- Upload the Necessary documents

As mentioned above the documents which are necessary to be handy while filling the IIFT registration form, students need to upload those documents as per the format and size mentioned in the table given above.

Image Correction

National Testing Agency has opened the window for making changes in the image which the candidates have uploaded in the IIFT registration form 2020. Students must ensure that they upload scanned and clear copy of certificates which indicate their category as well as the subcategory. he scanned documents should be in JPEG or JPG format and the file size should be between 50 kb to 300 kb.

Note- Candidates who have physical limitation for writing the examination have to fill the certificate.

Step 5- Select the IIFT Exam Centre 2020

Students will have to choose the exam centre from the list of cities that are given in the IIFT registration form 2020.

Step 6- Payment of fees for IIFT Registration Form 2020

Once all the documents are uploaded and all the details filled successfully, students will be directed to the page of payment of fees for the registration form of IIFT 2020.

Step 7- Confirmation mail.

After successfully filling the IIFT registration form 2020 and paying the fees, candidates will have to download and take a printout of the confirmation mail along with the payment receipt for future references.

Correction of IIFT 2020 Application Form

IIFT Admit Card

Admit card is the must-have document for every candidate to appear for IIFT 2020 exam. Candidates need to carry the IIFT 2020 admit card to the exam centre on the day of the exam. Only the candidates who fill and submit the application form of IIFT 2020 along with the application fee would be able to download the admit card. Given below are the rest of the details:

  • The admit card of IIFT 2020 will be released for download from November 11, 2019 on the official website of the exam
  • Candidates will be able to download the IIFT admit card 2020 with the help of their registered id and password.
  • Candidates need to carry the admit card to the exam center on the day of the exam along with a photo id proof - Driving License, Aadhar id card, Election id card, Passport
  • Without the admit card, no candidate will be allowed to write the IIFT 2020 exam
  • Candidates need to keep the admit card till the end of the admission process as it would be required at every stage of the admission.

Results

The result of IIFT 2020 exam will be announced on December 11, 2019. Both the result and scorecard will be available in online mode. IIFT will release the names of shortlisted candidates for the second round of interview. As many as 2097 candidates were selected previous year. More details are given below:

  • Candidates will be able to check the IIFT result 2020 on the official website of the exam
  • The result will be available in the form of a scorecard where candidates can check the sectional as well as the overall score.
  • Candidates can download the scorecard in the form of a pdf file by logging in to the official website with their seven-digit IIFT roll number and date of birth.
  • On the basis of the score, candidates will be shortlisted for the selection rounds - Writing test, GD, and PI
  • The final IIFT 2020 result or selection will be based on the overall performance in all the rounds.

IIFT 2020 Cutoffs

National Testing Agency, NTA the conducting body of the exam will announce the IIFT 2020 cutoff along with the result which is likely to be declared in the first week of January. More details are given below:

  • The minimum marks required to qualify for the selection rounds are called the cutoff.
  • The cutoff depends on various factors including the difficulty level of test, the total number of test-takers, number of seats available, etc.
  • Candidates who meet the IIFT cutoff criterion as announced by IIFT Delhi will be called for the selection rounds - Writing test, GD, and PI.
  • The shortlisted candidates will be assigned a centre for the selection rounds. The list of centres includes Ahmadabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, etc.
  • The cutoff of IIFT 2020 will be different for each category

Selection Procedure

Authorities will release the selection procedure of IIFT 2020 in January. IIFT will shortlist candidates on the basis of performance in the written test of IIFT 2020 as per the qualifying criteria. Then if you are shortlisted you will go for the essay writing skill test. After the writing skill test, you will go for the group discussion and personal interview. There are three main stages of the IIFT Selection Procedure 2020:

Essay Writing: Candidates who qualify the IIFT exam will have to take part in the next round of selection i.e Essay Writing. For this round, the average time is 20 minutes and the word limit is 300 words. In this round, they have examined your writing skills and conceptual knowledge about the given topics.

Group Discussion & Interview: GD round is aimed at figuring out how the candidates work in a team. Students must keep in mind all the events of general awareness. Students who are preparing for the group discussion and personal interview rounds must be aware of the recent trends in business events. Students must prepare group discussion and learn interview tactics before appearing for the interview
