NPAT EXAM 2023
The NPAT exam (National Test for Programs After Twelfth) is a computer-based entrance test conducted by the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) for admission into undergraduate programs offered by NMIMS and its affiliated colleges.
The exam consists of multiple-choice questions in the areas of Quantitative and Numerical Ability, Reasoning and General Intelligence, and Proficiency in English Language. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes.The NPAT exam is usually conducted in the month of May, and the registration process typically begins in the month of January. The exam is open to candidates who have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
The NPAT exam is one of the popular entrance exams for undergraduate programs in India and is widely accepted by colleges and universities across the country.
NMIMS NPAT 2023: Application Process
The application process for NMIMS NPAT 2023 is expected to start in the month of December 2022/ January 2023. Here are the steps to apply for the exam:
- Visit the official website of NMIMS NPAT 2023
- Click on the link to apply for the exam.
- Register on the website by providing basic information such as name, email ID, mobile number, etc.
- Once you have registered, you will receive login credentials on your registered email ID and mobile number.
- Use the login credentials to log in to the website and fill out the application form.
- Fill out the application form with the required details such as personal information, educational qualifications, etc.
- Upload the scanned copies of your photograph and signature as per the prescribed format and size.
- Pay the application fee using online payment options such as credit card, debit card, or net banking.
- Submit the application form and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
NMIMS NPAT 2023: Application Process
The eligibility criteria for NMIMS NPAT 2023 is as follows:
- Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates who are appearing for their 10+2 or equivalent examination in the current year can also apply for the exam, provided they meet the minimum eligibility criteria at the time of admission.
- Subject Combination: Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, or Biology.
- International Baccalaureate (IB) students: Candidates who have completed the IB Diploma with Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects at the standard level (SL) or higher level (HL) along with one of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, or Biology are also eligible to apply.
- Cambridge International Examination (CIE) students: Candidates who have completed the CIE examination with Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects at the AS or A level along with one of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, or Biology are also eligible to apply.
Note: The eligibility criteria mentioned above are for general category candidates. Candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and PwD may have different eligibility criteria as per the regulations of the Government of India.
NMIMS NPAT 2023: Admission Process
The admission process for NMIMS NPAT 2023 will consist of the following steps:
- NPAT Exam: The first step in the admission process is to appear for the NPAT exam. The exam will be conducted in multiple sessions, and candidates can choose the date and time slot as per their convenience. The exam will be a computer-based test (CBT) consisting of multiple-choice questions in the areas of Quantitative and Numerical Ability, Reasoning and General Intelligence, and Proficiency in English Language.
- Result Declaration: The results of the NPAT exam will be declared on the official website of NMIMS. Candidates can check their results by logging in to the website using their credentials.
- Merit List: Based on the performance of candidates in the NPAT exam, a merit list will be prepared. Candidates who meet the minimum cutoff criteria as decided by the institute will be included in the merit list.
- Counseling and Seat Allotment: Shortlisted candidates will be called for counseling and seat allotment process. The counseling process will be conducted online, and candidates will have to choose their preferred course and college based on their rank in the merit list. Seats will be allotted based on the availability of seats and the candidate's preference.
- Document Verification: After the seat allotment, candidates will be required to submit their documents for verification. The documents required for verification include mark sheets of class 10 and 12, NPAT scorecard, identity proof, and other relevant documents as per the guidelines of the institute.
- Fee Payment: Candidates who have been allotted a seat will have to pay the admission fee to confirm their admission. The fee payment can be done online using a credit card, debit card, or net banking.
NMIMS NPAT 2023: Important Dates
The important dates for NMIMS NPAT 2023 exam are not yet announced. However, based on the previous year’s schedule, the tentative important dates for NMIMS NPAT 2023 are as follows:
- Start of Online Registration: 01st Dec ’22.
- Last date for Online Registration: 21st May 23.
- Availability of Admit Card: May 2023
- NPAT 2023 Exam Date: May 2023
- Declaration of Results: June 2023
- Start of Counselling and Seat Allotment: June 2023

NMIMS NPAT: Programs & Seats Intake
NMIMS NPAT offers admission to various undergraduate programs in the field of Management, Engineering, Commerce, and Economics. The programs and seat intake for NPAT 2023 are not yet announced. However, based on the previous year’s seat matrix, the following are the programs and their seat intake:
- B.Tech - Computer Science and Engineering: 480 seats
- B.Tech - Electronics and Communication Engineering: 120 seats
- B.Tech - Mechanical Engineering: 120 seats
- B.Tech - Data Science: 60 seats
- BBA: 600 seats
- B.Com (Hons.): 480 seats
- B.Sc. Finance: 240 seats
- B.A. (Hons.) Liberal Arts: 300 seats

NPAT 2023: Exam Pattern
The exam pattern for NPAT 2023 consists of three sections – Quantitative and Numerical Ability, Reasoning and General Intelligence, and Proficiency in English Language.
The exam will be conducted in an online mode and will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be answered in 100 minutes.
