About MH-CET Law
MAH CET LAW is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra for admission into various undergraduate law programs offered by the colleges and universities in Maharashtra. The exam is conducted in two different modes: MAH CET Law 5 Years and MAH CET Law 3 Years.
MAH CET Law 5 Years is conducted for admission into five-year integrated law programs, such as BA LLB and BBA LLB, while MAH CET Law 3 Years is conducted for admission into three-year LLB programs.
Eligibility criteria
The eligibility criteria for MAH LLB (5 years) are as follows:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST category).
- Nationality: Candidates must be Indian nationals.
The eligibility criteria for MAH LLB (3 Years) is as follows:
- Educational Qualification: The candidate must have completed graduation in any stream from a recognized university with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories).
- Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian national.
- Other Requirements: Candidates who are appearing for the final year/semester examination of their graduation are also eligible to apply for the exam. However, they must provide proof of passing the graduation examination at the time of admission.
MH-CET Law Exam Pattern: For Five-Year LLB
The MH-CET Law exam pattern for Five-Year LLB is as follows:
- Mode of Exam: The exam is conducted in online (computer-based) mode.
- Exam Duration: The duration of the exam is two hours.
- Total Marks: The exam is of 150 marks.
- Number of Questions: There are 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in the exam.
- Subjects and Weightage: The exam tests the candidates' knowledge in the following subjects:
- Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning: 40 marks
- General Knowledge with Current Affairs: 30 marks
- Logical and Analytical Reasoning: 40 marks
- English: 30 marks
- Basic Mathematics: 10 marks
- Marking Scheme: Each question carries one mark, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
- Medium of Exam: The exam is conducted in English and Marathi.
