MBA Mht CET CAP Round 2020 - Common Admission Process
MBA Mht CET CAP Round is an exam conducted by DTE Maharashtra to get admission into prestigious B-schools in Maharashtra state. The list of colleges one can get into through CET contains top B-schools like JBIMS, SIMSREE, Welingkar, PUMBA, and many more.
MBA CET 2020 was conducted on the 14th and 15th of March and the results were declared on the 22nd of May 2020.
DTE Maharashtra will start the next process of admission from the second week of June onwards.

Eligibility to apply for Mht CET CAP Round after MBA CET 2020
- Eligibility criteria [As per DTE, Maharashtra]
- Qualification- The candidate must have completed at least 3 years of bachelor’s degree in any stream OR must have appeared in the final year exam of bachelor’s degree. Candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam. Moreover, candidates from reserved or PWD categories get 5% relaxation.
- University The University must be recognized by the University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities.
- Candidates applying under All India Category – Candidates who have appeared for CAT (conducted by IIMs)/ GMAT(conducted by GMAC)/ CMAT(Conducted by AICTE)/ MAT(conducted by AIMA)/ XAT (conducted by XLRI)/ ATMA (conducted by AIMS) are considered to be eligible for admission against the All India Seats subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
- Eligibility for NRI / OCI/ PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National
- Completed a bachelor’s degree with a duration of a minimum of three years which is awarded by a University recognized by the University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any field with at least 50% marks aggregately or grades equivalent to it.
- Any other criterion updated by the concerned authority from time to time
- The candidates belonging to SC, VJ/DT (NT (A)), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC and SBC categories should produce Caste Validity Certificate issued by Scrutiny Committee of Social Welfare Department and the Candidate belonging to ST category should submit Tribe Validity Certificate issued by Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Department and valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate except SC, ST candidates at the time of verification of documents.

CET 2020 Expected Cut Offs
The MAH CET cut-offs for MBA/MMS/PGDM programs are released by all the participating colleges. The candidates are allotted seats based on their rankings and cut-offs. Different factors play a vital role in deciding the cut-offs as it is decided by all the participating institutes depending on the difficulty level of the entrance exam, the number of students appearing for the exam, and the availability of seats.

Candidate Categorization
The Type of the Candidature and the Home University of the candidate plays a significant role in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). Students should go through all the guidelines and rules mentioned by the DTE while selecting their Candidature type and Home University in the application form.
The candidates falling in A, B, C, D, and E category are classified as Maharashtra State (MS) category while the students who are not classified in any of these categories are Other than Maharashtra State (OMS) category
TYPE A: Eligible Candidates must have the following-
- Passed HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Technology or Pharmacy from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State AND ALSO
Qualifying Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State AND either DOMICILE of Maharashtra and/or is born in Maharashtra
NOTE– Place of the passing of Qualifying Examination (Home University) should fall within the jurisdiction of the respective University area
TYPE B: Candidates not mentioned in Type A, but
Whose Father or Mother is DOMICILED in the State of Maharashtra AND
Whose Father or Mother possess Domicile Certificate
- NOTE– Domicile certificate issuing authority should be in the jurisdiction of the respective University area. (Home University)
TYPE C: Candidates who do not fall in Type A or Type B, but
Whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India AND
Whose Father or Mother has been Posted or Reported to Duty in the State of Maharashtra before the last date to submit the application of the CAP
NOTE– Place of posting of Father or Mother should be in the jurisdiction of the respective University area. (Home University)
TYPE D: Candidates not mentioned in any above type, but
Whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking
NOTE– Place of posting of Father or Mother of the candidate or the place of settlement if retired falls within the jurisdiction of the respective University area. (Home University)
TYPE E: Any Candidate other than above
Passing HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Technology or Pharmacy from a recognized institution in the disputed area of Maharashtra-Karnataka Border AND whose mother tongue is Marathi
- Other than Maharashtra State (OMS)- Candidates who do not fit in any of the above types AND the candidates having Indian Nationality are eligible under this category
For the certificate of Nationality, any of the following documents are accepted
Certificate of the Indian Nationality of the candidate (usually issued by the Tahsildar/Executive Magistrate/Dy. Collector of the concerned District/Taluka).
School Leaving Certificate where the nationality is mentioned as ˜Indian’ Or the place of birth is in India
Indian Passport of the candidate, issued by the Government of India
Birth Certificate indicating that the place of birth is in India.

Common Admission Process
The registration for the Counselling process for the MAH-CET 2020 is most likely to commence from the last week of June. Centralized Admission Process is conducted in three rounds mostly and the fourth round is conducted if needed for the confirmation and allocation of the seats. The Counselling process is conducted through Online Web Counselling only
Stage 1: Online Registration
- All the candidates are required to fill in the online application form for the registration of the Counselling process
- Visit the official website of MAH CET.
- Click on the Counselling Procedure button for MAH CET 2020
- Fill in your Name, Roll no., Application no., Date of Birth, and Password
- Pay the counselling fee through online net baking.
Stage 2: Fees Payment
The Counselling fee is non-refundable and must be paid at the time of submission of the form and through online payment modes only

Stage 3: Document Verification
- After the registration, the applicant is required to get their documents verified at the Application form Receipt Centers (ARC)
- To know your nearest ARC, visit the official website of MAH CET
- Candidate should carry the original and photocopies of all the documents to the Counselling venue

- MAH CET results
- Class 10th and 12th results and Passing certificates
- Residence proof
- Migration Certificate (If needed)
- Caste certificate, Caste Validity
Stage 4: Choice Filling
- After the verification of the documents, the candidate is required to login to his/her account and fill the rankings of the colleges and their branches they wish to enter in according to their scores
- Once the list is filled the candidate won’t be able to change the choices
Stage 5: Seat Allotment
- The seat allotment is done based on the vacancies of the seats, the rank of the candidate, and the choices filled in the form
- The results of the seat allocation are uploaded on the official website of DTE and the candidate is required to login to his/her account to check the results
- On selection, the candidate will be issued a provisional admission letter
Stage 6: Reporting to Allotted Institute
After a successful selection in the college, the candidate is required to inform the allotted institute
- The candidate is required to carry the provisional seat allotment letter to the college and all the necessary documents mentioned above to confirm the seat
- If the candidate does not report to the college in the given period then this will result in the cancellation of the provisional admission
Stage 7: Confirmation Letter
After the completion of the Counselling Procedure, the candidate will receive a confirmation letter from the respective college
