What is MAH-CET?
MAH-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra for admission to various postgraduate management courses offered by colleges in Maharashtra.
The exam is conducted once a year in online mode and consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) on various topics such as Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. The exam duration is 150 minutes, and there are no negative marks for wrong answers.
MAH-CET scores are used for admission to various management courses such as MBA, MMS, PGDM, and PGDBM in colleges and universities in Maharashtra. The exam is open to candidates from all over India, provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for MAH-CET 2023 is as follows:
- Nationality: The candidate should be an Indian citizen.
- Educational Qualification: The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category candidates).
- Final Year Students: Candidates who are appearing for their final year of graduation can also apply. However, they need to provide the proof of passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
- Age Limit: There is no age limit for appearing in the MAH-CET exam.

MAH-CET Examination Fees:-
- For Open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates ₹ 1000/-
- For Candidates of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJ/DTNT(A),NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC, EWS] and Persons with Disability (PWD) Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only. ₹ 800/-

MAH CET Admission Process
- Registration: Candidates need to register online for MAH-CET by visiting the official website of the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.
- Application Form: After registration, candidates need to fill in the application form by providing personal, academic, and other details as required
- Admit Card: Candidates who have successfully registered and submitted the application form can download the MAH-CET admit card from the official website
- Entrance Exam: Candidates need to appear for the MAH-CET entrance exam on the specified date and time.
- Result: The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra releases the MAH-CET result in the form of a scorecard, which includes the candidate's percentile score and rank.
- Counseling: Candidates who have cleared the MAH-CET cutoff and are eligible for admission need to participate in the counseling process. The counseling process includes document verification, seat allotment, and payment of fees.
- Admission: After the seat is allotted to the candidate, they need to report to the respective college or university and complete the admission process by submitting the required documents and paying the admission fees.
