The Symbiosis Law Admission Test ( SLAT ) is a five-year integrated law course offered by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Under the auspices of SIU, law courses are taught at four law schools: Symbiosis Law School (SLS) Pune, SLS Noida, SLS Hyderabad, and SLS Nagpur (new campus). BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.) are two integrated courses offered by the institutes (Hons.).
Established in June 1977, Symbiosis Law School – Pune was previously associated with the University of Pune. In 2002, it became a part of Symbiosis International University, with increased autonomy in teaching, learning, and research.
Symbiosis law schools provide 5-year B.A./B.B.A. LL.B., 3-year LL.B. and LL.M., as well as diploma and certificate programs in law. Pune, Noida, Nagpur, and Hyderabad are all home to Symbiosis law schools. The Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) is a common written test used for admission to Symbiosis International University’s undergraduate institutes, including Symbiosis Law School.

- There are 4 Symbiosis Law Schools (SLS) in total in the nation and these are in the four major cities which are, SLS Pune, SLS Hyderabad, SLS Noida, and SLS Nagpur.

SNAP 2023 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- For all law schools of Symbiosis International University, the eligibility criteria are common. The eligibility criteria for SLAT 2023 will be released officially in the notification of SLAT 2023. Law aspirants preparing for SLAT 2023 may refer to the following eligibility criteria.
- Educational Qualification - Candidate should have passed Class 12th (10+2) from any recognized board or any equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC candidates).
- Please note that candidates who are going to appear in their board examination this year will also be considered eligible to apply for SLAT 2023. Such candidates will have to produce their documents related to qualifying exams during the admission process. Failing which, such candidates will be disqualified.
- Age limit - there is no upper age limit to appear in SLAT 2023.
- Candidates who have passed their qualifying exam, class 12, in more than one attempt will not be considered eligible for SLAT 2023.
- Further, if a candidate has cleared his qualifying exam with compartment is also not eligible to appear in SLAT 2023.
- Those candidates who have passed their qualifying exam with a distance learning system / open university system are also not eligible to appear in SLAT 2023.
SLAT 2023 Exam Pattern
SLAT 2023 will be held entirely online. It will take 120 minutes to complete the exam. A total of 90 questions will be asked. One mark will be awarded for each right answer. Negative marking will not be used.

- Candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct attempt
- There is no negative marking in case of wrong attempts
- No marks will be awarded or deducted for the questions not attempted by the candidates
- The overall scores will be evaluated on the basis of correct options out of a total 150 marks.

SLAT 2023 Syllabus
The law entrance exam is conducted for undergraduate level courses, therefore, the syllabus will of Class 12th level only.
Logical Reasoning
There will be 18 questions in this section covering themes such as Number Tests, Series Tests, Coding and Decoding, Odd One Out, Statement Arguments, Verbal Reasoning, Analogy, Statement Assumptions, Ranking, Questions and Relations, and Syllogisms.
Legal Reasoning
This portion will assess the candidate’s interest in law school, research skills, and problem-solving abilities. Legal propositions (given in the paper) and a set of facts to which the proposition must be applied are examples of questions. There will also be questions about legal knowledge.
Analytical Reasoning
Permutation and Combination, Blood Relations, Mixtures, Ratio and Proportion, Series, Number System, Time and Work, Mensuration, Clocks and Calendar, Profit-Loss and Discount, Coding-Decoding, Number Series, Probability, and other topics will be covered in this section, which will include 18 questions.
Reading Comprehension
There will be 18 questions in the English part based on comprehension passages. Questions about the passages will follow the unseen passages. The English portion is designed to assess the candidates’ linguistic abilities.
General Knowledge
The 18 General Knowledge questions will cover the last year’s topics in history, geography, general science, economics, civics, and current events. This part will test your understanding of current events and global awareness.

SLAT 2023 Application Form
- Symbiosis International University will release SLAT 2023 application form tentatively in the fourth week of January 2023.
- Aspirants will have to fill the online application form through the official SET website, set-test.org.
- While SLAT application form will be made available for a fixed duration, applicants will have to submit their application form on or before the final date of submission.

Filling the application form of SLAT is a bit lengthy as it includes registration, filling personal details, fee payment and document upload, for simplification, the step by step procedure of filling SLAT 2020 application form is given below:

Registration
Visit the official website set-test.org and click on “Apply now’ to register”.
Click on Register and fill the registration form as appeared in the new window
Enter your name, mobile number, email id, category and city prefered test city.
Upload your scanned colour photo in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format. Photo size should be up to 100kb.
Photos above standard size will automatically resized by the system.
Click on “Save and Continue” to complete registration
You will receive an id and password on registered email id and mobile number, keep these details safe as you will need to access your application form, admit card result later.

Filling the SLAT 2020 application form
After successful registration, you will see the application form window where you will have to fill in the information as asked in the form.
Fill your name, educational qualifications, date of birth, address, programme of law etc.
After completing the application form, check that all the information is filled correctly, especially check for spelling mistakes in your names, address etc.

Application fee payment
The next step is to pay the application fees in online mode or offline mode.
For online payment, a payment gateway will be provided in the application form, while in offline mode, the candidates can pay the application fee through demand draft

SLAT application form 2020 – Fee structure
An institute may offer one or more programmes so, if a candidate is opting for more than one entrance test, the fees for the other entrance test will have to be paid separately.
For eg. A candidate who is a graduate in engineering will be eligible for both SLAT and SET engineering. If he/she applies for both the programmes, the fees will have to be paid separately

SLAT 2023 Admit Card
Candidates who finish the SLAT registration process and pay the SLAT test 2023 price will receive their SLAT 2023 admit card a few weeks before the home-proctored SLAT 2023 entrance exam is held. The SLAT 2023 admit card will provide vital information such as the SLAT exam day and time, the name and address of the designated exam center, and the troll number. The candidate must report to the exam center with the admission card and a valid picture id evidence on the day of the exam, according to the reporting time.
Candidates can download their admit card for appearing in SLAT exam as under:
- Visit the official website of Symbiosis International University (SIU) – https://www.set-test.org
- Click on “Admit Card” tab on the main page
- A new window opens up for admit card login, enter Login ID and password and click on ‘submit’ button
- The admit card will appear on the screen, cross-check details on it and if any information is found incorrect, report the same to SIU helpdesk
- Download the admit card (even if errors are found), get printouts of the same
- Candidates are advised to keep extra copies for future references
SLAT 2023 Results
- The results of Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) or SET Law
- Results 2023 will be declared in the third week of May.
- The Symbiosis International University (SIU) declared results of SLAT exam within a month after conducting the law entrance exam.
- The results are published on the official website of Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET).
- Candidates can check their results by entering SLAT ID and password on the login window.

SLAT 2023 Application Fee
The Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) 2023 was a once-a-year online computer-based exam. In 2023, the exam will be proctored online from the comfort of your own home. SLAT Exam 2023 is the first stage. The WAT (Writing Ability Test) is followed by Personal Interaction in the second stage (PI)
In the selection process, WAT and Personal Interaction (PI) are given equal weight. Colleges conduct the PI in their own way. Following the announcement of the SLAT results, the PI/ST-PI rounds for college allocation commence. The SET Law Online test, which is the first round of the SLAT Law selection process for admissions to BA LLB and BBA LLB programs, is included in the SLAT Selection Procedure 2023. The selection process is carried out independently by each of the participating colleges.
