MH CET Law Entrance Exam 2022 Details
The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Legal (MH CET Law) is a state-level exam administered by the Maharashtra Directorate of Higher Education for admissions to law degrees provided in Maharashtra’s law colleges. Law students are shortlisted for admission to moreover 10,000 places in five-year LLB programs offered at 120 law schools through the entrance exam. Candidates are also shortlisted for admission to three-year LLB programs provided by Maharashtra’s several law schools.

ELIGIBILITY FOR MH CET 2022
- The programs offered have certain common eligibility criteria while the educational qualification varies as per the program chosen by the candidate
- 3-year LLB programme
- The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in any stream and from a recognized institution affiliated with a University in India.
- Candidates who have completed his/her Bachelor's degree in a foreign university which has an equivalent status are also eligible to apply for the respective program
- Moreover, the candidate should have completed his/her Bachelor's degree with an aggregate minimum of 45% marks (General Category), minimum 40% marks (SC and ST category), and minimum 42% marks (VJ/ DT/ NT-A/ SBC/ OBC).
- Candidate appearing for his/her final year/semester are also eligible to apply to the exam.
- The documents related to their respective qualifying examination are required during the admission process
- The applicant should be an Indian National. (No age limit)
- NOTE- The candidate should have completed his/her Bachelor's degree in (10+2+3) format ONLY
- 5-year LLB programme
- A candidate who has completed his/her Higher Secondary (10th) and Under-grad (12th) education with an aggregate of a minimum of 45% marks (General Category), minimum of 40% marks (SC and ST Category, and a minimum of 42% marks (VJ/ DT/ NT-A/ SBC/ OBC) are eligible for this program
- Candidates who have an engineering diploma of three years are also considered eligible for the program
- A candidate who has completed his/her basic qualification, Higher Secondary (10th), and has passed the qualifying exam from a Distance learning mode are also considered eligible for the program
- The Candidate must be an Indian National. (No age limit).

MH CET 2022 Syllabus
The syllabus contains the subjects for both courses such as Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning, General Knowledge with Current Affairs, Logical and Analytical Reasoning and English.
Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning
It assesses the candidate’s understanding of the law, legal acumen, and problem-solving skills. The legal prepositions and a collection of facts to which the specified prepositions must be applied will be used to create questions.
General Knowledge with Current Affairs
History (ancient, medieval, and modern), geography, general science, economics, civics, and current events from the previous year are all covered in this section. The goal is to assess the candidate’s knowledge of current events and global awareness.
Logical and Analytical Reasoning
The goal is to see if the candidate can spot patterns, make logical connections, and correct erroneous arguments. Wide analogies, finishing arguments, reaching well-supported conclusions, reasoning by analogy, and applying principles or norms are all examples of this. In addition, the subject is intended to assess the capacity to comprehend structure, relationships, and form logical conclusions regarding structures. It entails deductive reasoning from a set of statements and rules or principles that define the relationship between people, things, or events.
English
This section contains questions from topics such as vocabulary (synonyms, antonyms, analogies, and so on), proficiency, and so on (Idioms and Phrases, One word Substitution, Sentence Improvement and rearrangement, fill in the blanks etc) English Usage Errors (Common Errors, Spotting Errors, Inappropriate Word Usage, Spelling Mistakes, and so forth) and English Comprehension
Mathematical Aptitude (for 5 years LL.B only):
This portion is designed to assess the candidate’s interest in mathematics, which includes numerical skills in general.
Mathematical questions will be asked starting in the 10th grade. It will cover a variety of topics such as profit and loss, speed and distance, time and work, algebra, average, and Venn diagram, among others.

- Steps to fill the application form
- Visit the official website of State Common Entrance Cell, www.mahacet.org, and click on MH CET Law to apply online
- The candidate has to register first by filling the basic contact information such as Name, Date of Birth, Email ID, and Mobile number. After the registration, the candidate receives a Registration ID and Password on the screen as well as on the registered Email ID and Mobile number. Save the same for the further process of the form filling and admission
- The candidate is required to upload his/her scanned copy of photograph and signature in below-mentioned format only

- The candidate is required to fill his/her educational details such as Graduation, under-grad, and Higher secondary details
- After filling all the details the candidate needs to validate his/her details, but before clicking on Save and next verify and ensure all the details filled in are correct as it cannot be modified once submitted. If any information or detail is incorrect then the application will be canceled while submitting or at the time of the counseling process

MH CET 2022 Admit Card
- The Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra will issue the admit cards of both 3-year and 5-year exams in the online mode. Due to the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19, the dates of issuing the admit cards are postponed but the new dates will be notified soon. Candidate can download the admit card from the official website of MH CET Law 2022 by entering his/her login credentials

- Register as a new candidate for the Counseling Procedure and fill all the required information
- The page will direct theAfter the registration, the candidate has to fill the preferences of colleges according to his/her scores and college cut-offs. Once the form filling is done, the candidate has to the pay the counseling fees of INR 3000 (General Category/ OBC/ NT/ VJ-DT/ SBC) and INR 1000 (SC and ST Category) candidate to a PDF file that has the results according to the ranking and scores of the applicants
