CMAT 2022 Syllabus

Each segment contains 100 questions, with a total of 25 optional questions in the test. Each question is worth four points, with a one-point penalty for each incorrect response. Now, a new optional section called Innovation & Entrepreneurship has been included. Candidates who choose this option will appear in this section. The section consists of 25 questions that must be answered in 30 minutes. The CMAT exam does not have a set syllabus. The following are some of the essential issues you can discuss:

Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation

This part’s syllabus is similar to the Quant Component of the CAT. The questions in this section mostly include ratios, mixtures, time and work, averages, profit and loss, number system and its properties, probability and counting principles, with one or two exceptions in geometry and derivatives (i.e. maxima – minima). Prepare questions based on tables, pie charts, line graphs, and other visual aids for the DI section.

Logical Reasoning

Seating Arrangement, Coding-Decoding, Syllogisms, Puzzles, Statement-Conclusion, and other topics are covered in the logical reasoning section. The most effective strategy to approach LR is to practice as much as possible. This will improve both your speed and accuracy.

General Awareness

Unlike the CAT, this exam includes a general awareness portion that, if well prepared, can help you improve your score. There are both static and dynamic questions in this section. Prepare themes in history, geography, politics, economics, and the environment for static questions. For dynamic questions, you’ll need to be up to date on current events, which you can get via newspapers and periodicals.

Language Comprehension

The CMAT’s Language Comprehension component correlates to the CAT’s Verbal Ability section. As a result, the syllabus resembles that of CAT. Articles, Non-finites, Dangling Modifiers, Nouns, Pronouns (Especially relative Pronouns), Adjectives, Adverbs, Prepositions –Regular and Followed, Verbs, Syntax, Subject-verb Agreement, Simple, Continuous, Perfect tenses, and Conditional-unreal past are the main topics from which you’ll see questions on the exam.

CMAT 2022 Selection procedure

CMAT 2022 Counselling

How many times is the CMAT exam conducted in a year?

CMAT is held twice a year. Eligibility is 3 years Bachelor degree with 50% (45% for reserved.) In a year you can attempt twice.

What is the fee for the CMAT exam?

Those interested in applying for MBA admissions in the years 2022-24 must take the NTA CMAT exam in 2022. For male candidates, the CMAT application fee is Rs 2,000, while for female, transgender, and reserved category candidates, the charge is Rs 1,000. Candidates must verify the CMAT eligibility criteria before filling out the CMAT 2022 application form.

What are the benefits of the CMAT exam?

Moderately Difficult Exam

CMAT will continue to be a moderately challenging exam with 100 basic questions separated into four sections: quantitative techniques and data interpretation (25 questions), language comprehension (25 questions), logical reasoning (25 questions), and general awareness (25 questions) (25 Qs). Unlike the complicated and complex questions found in the CAT and XAT tests, which require you to think many times before arriving at a response, the MCQ-type questions in the CMAT are of moderate difficulty, and the answer options are directly related to the question.

For example, in the CMAT exam, the questions following the RC passage are directly related to the text information and can be quickly answered, as opposed to the CAT and XAT exams, where the questions are indirectly related to the text and you must deduce the solution from the passage information.

Low College Fee

Unlike IIMs, which charge a high cost between Rs.16 lakhs and Rs.22 lakhs, CMAT MBA/PGDM colleges charge a moderate fee between Rs. 5 lakhs and Rs.15 lakhs for equivalent management programs. All of these business schools provide two-year full-time residential MBA/PGDM programs. The fee structure for some university-connected MBA colleges under CMAT, such as Mumbai University and others, is as inexpensive as Rs.2 to 3 lakhs.

National Mba Exam Accepted By Top B-schools

In comparison to the MAT and ATMA, the CMAT is a higher-level national MBA entry exam. CMAT allows students to apply for higher-level MBA/PGDM programs. Many MBA colleges in India do not recognize MAT or ATMA scores, however, they do accept CMAT scores. For example, DTE-Maharashtra indicated that CMAT marks will be accepted for admission instead of MAT and other tests by all 400 MBA colleges in Maharashtra connected with the Maharashtra government.
