CMAT 2021

Common Management Admission Test popularly recognized as CMAT 2021, is an entrance exam for MBA/PGDM programs, and its score is accepted by 800+ B schools across the country and it is organized by National Testing Agency (NTA). This year the exam will be held in last week of January and the paper will comprise of 4 sections namely Quantitative Techniques, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness. The exam will only be conducted in online mode. The registration process for CMAT 2021 will begin in November 2020

CMAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the CMAT 2021 eligibility criteria for all the candidates along with other detailed information. CMAT eligibility criteria 2021 includes the parameters which the candidates must meet in order to appear for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT). The eligibility criteria of CMAT 2021 includes the educational details such as the minimum marks required by candidates to be eligible to appear in the exam.

CMAT Eligibility Criteria 2021- Academic Details

Below are some educational qualifications that are required to fall into the eligibility criterion for CMAT 2021

  • Students must hold a minimum of 3 years of graduation degree or equivalent from any recognized university across the country
  • Those students who are in the final year of graduation can also apply for CMAT 2021
  • There is no minimum aggregate cut off marks to apply to various institutes
  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • There is no age limit to apply for CMAT 2021.

Eligibility Criteria of CMAT 2021 – Course Wise

Executive PGDM Graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized institute for general and OBC category
Students belonging to SC or ST category must obtain graduate degree with a minimum of 45 % marks.
Experience of minimum five years.
PGCM Graduate in any discipline
MBA and PGDM Graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized institute for general and OBC category
Students under SC and ST categories must obtain a minimum of 45% marks

CMAT 2021 Reservation Policy

The reservation policy is also mentioned in CMAT 2021 eligibility criteria. Private participating institutes of CMAT 2021 have different reservation policy. However, institutes which are run by the central government, their reservation policy is mentioned in the table below

Steps to fill CMAT 2021 Registration Form

A candidate must visit the official website of the NTA and then follow the following steps:

Step 1- Register for CMAT 2021

Step 2- Step 2- Fill the application form with name, date of birth, city, mobile number, and email ID. Also fill the personal and academic details asked and select the exam city and center

Step 3- Enter the security code

Step 4- Preview the information mentioned in the registration form of CMAT 2021 before submitting the form

Step 5- Upload the documents, scanned image, and signature with mentioned dimensions.

Step 6- Payment of fee for the CMAT exam has to be done by online mode through debit card, credit card, or online banking methods

Step 7- Download the confirmation page displayed after successful payment.

How To Fill CMAT Application Form 2021

Step 1 – Register for CMAT 2021

  • Students must first register themselves for CMAT 2021by appropriately filling name, DOB, city, contact details, and should keep a note of the application number generated which will be required in further processes
  • Students are suggested to create a password that is easy for them to remember and choosing the security question in case they forget the password in the future, it would help them to recover it
  • Candidates will have to fill in all the details in the form appropriately.
  • After submitting the personal details, the CMAT 2021 registration number will be generated.
  • Log in again with the CMAT logging in with the application number and password.

Step 2 – Fill the Application Form of CMAT 2021

Once the first step is done, candidates will be directed to a page where they need to fill all their personal and educational details. Following are the details one need to fill:

  • Candidate’s name
  • Father’s name
  • Mother’s name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • State of residence
  • Category
  • PwD more than 40%- yes/no
  • Types of disability- (options would be provided)
  • Whether you need scribe reader?
  • Disability category for scribe reader
  • Nationality
  • Are you diabetic?

Step 3 – Enter the Security code

  • After completion of the qualification details, students need to enter the security code that they will be needing to type the same text as provided.
  • Click on submit once you are done

Step 4 – Preview the CMAT Registration Form 2021

  • After submitting the application form of CMAT 2021, students will get to review the page.
  • Candidates must verify all the information in CMAT registration form and edit it if they have made any error. After verifying each section students will be required to mark in parameters checklist to be verified.
  • Once the information is verified click on œI agree in the declaration section. Lastly, click on final submit

Step 5 – Upload the documents

  • In this step, students are required to upload the scanned passport size photograph and signature as per the format and size mentioned in the CMAT registration form 2021
  • Students can upload the documents in black and white or colored form.
  • The photo must be clear and legible.
  • After uploading documents fill the security pin and then click on ˜upload
  • Note- Correction in the images would not be provided once submitted
  • Students would be directed to the next page to preview the documents uploaded
  • It will involve the options to edit the application form and edit uploaded documents. Once the information is confirmed click on ˜pay examination fee rs. XXX.

Step 6 – Payment of fees for CMAT application form 2021

Candidates can make the payment of application fees for CMAT 2021through any one of the following modes:

  • Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer

CMAT 2021 Admit Card

Admit cards will be available in online mode and can be downloaded till the date of the exam. Candidates have to mandatorily carry their admit card to the examination hall

Procedure to Download CMAT 2021 Admit Card

CMAT admit card 2021 is a must-have document on the day of examination. Aspirants are advised to keep several copies and carry on the day of examination. Students can refer to the steps mentioned below to download the CMAT 2021 admit card

Step 1: Click on the link provided (link will be available when the authority releases it)

Step 2: Enter the application number, security pin, and password

Step 3: Screen will display the admit card

Step 4: Click on tab ˜download admit card’

Step 5: Take the print of the admit card. Aspirants should take 2-3 print outs of the admit card for any future reference

CMAT 2021 Results

NTA will declare the result of CMAT 2021 in the first week of February in online mode on its official website. Candidates will be provided with the scorecards which will reflect their score section-wise as well as their total percentile. Students who meet the cut-offs will get the email regarding their second round. Before the score, NTA will also release the answer key so the students have a rough chance to check their score beforehand

Cut-offs of the different institutes are different and they keep changing year by year. As soon as the results are declared the participating institute releases their cut-offs and makes the selection of candidates for the second round that includes GD, PI, and written ability. CMAT 2021 Selection procedure

CMAT 2021 selection procedure will be conducted in three phases. Three phases of CMAT selection procedure 2021 are:

  • Score of CMAT
  • Group Discussion
  • Written Ability Test (WAT) or Personal Interview (PI)
  • Score of CMAT- Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the CMAT result 2021. After shortlisting the candidates merit list is prepared which will be available online.
  • Group Discussion – Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the group discussion round for the respective participating institute that they have applied for. The group discussion will be held on the date mentioned where 10 or fewer students will be grouped and they will be asked to have a discussion on the given topic for a specific time limit. Students will be evaluated on their performance in this round. The group discussion will be held in the following manner:
    • Candidates will be given a topic for discussion based on business or current affairs
    • Students will be grouped into 10 or more and each group will be given a specific topic.
  • Personal Interview/ Written Ability Test

CMAT Selection Procedure 2021 – Final Selection

Candidate’s performance will be analyzed, based on all the rounds taken, and according to that the final merit list will be prepared. This merit list will reflect the name of candidates who cleared all the round successfully and these candidates will get a confirmation mail by that respective college

CMAT 2021 Counselling

Candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance exam will be called for counselling session wherein they will have to fill a list of colleges where they prefer to take admission. To take part in CMAT 2021 counseling, candidates will have to follow the steps that are given below
