Bachelor’s in business administration (BBA)/Bachelors in Business Management (BBM)/Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) are graduate level management degrees solely designed to enhance a student's management skills at Bachelors level. The degree is designed to develop practical managerial skills, communication skills and business decision-making capability.

Candidates with BBA/BMS/BBS degrees, who have good market exposure and relevant experience, often witness a fast-paced growth. A hard-working candidate can expect to rise up ladders quickly and become the team lead or manager in four to five years. Such candidates can be further trained for mid-level and senior-level managerial roles.

AIMA UGAT

Undergraduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA), and is a gateway for admission to undergraduate programs like BBA, BCA, BHM, Integrated MBA (IMBA), etc.

UGAT BBA tests candidates on their knowledge of English, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Numerical & Data Analysis. The exam is conducted in pen and paper mode.

UGAT is the only BBA entrance exam which gives the aspirants option of choosing the institute where they would like to pursue the degree. At the time of filling the application form, the aspirants get the option of indicating any five of the participating institutes/colleges/universities as their preference. Once the results are declared, their scores are sent to these institutes for consideration at the time of admission.

UGAT Eligibility:

  • The candidate must have cleared 10+2 from a recognized board with at least 50% marks or equivalent.
  • Candidates waiting for their results can also apply.
  • The candidate should be at least 17 years of age while appearing for the exam.


UGAT Exam Pattern:

The questions will be asked from English Language, Numerical and Data Analysis, Reasoning and Intelligence, and General Knowledge.

DU JAT

Delhi University conducts the Joint Admission Test (DU JAT) in the month of June. DU JAT is a gateway for admission to colleges affiliated to the Delhi University offering Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) and Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis) programs and BA (Hons) Business Economics.

Candidates applying to BBS / BMS / BFIA need to clear the written exam, and then appear for group discussion and personal interview (GDPI). The GDPI round takes place in the month of June and continue till July.

DUJAT Eligibility:

  • The candidate should have cleared 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized examination board or university.
  • Candidates belonging to general category should have secured a minimum of 60% in class 10+2.
  • Candidates belonging to SC, ST, CW and PwD categories should have scored a minimum of 55% in 10+2

NPAT

Conducted by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), the NMIMS Programs After Twelfth or NPAT is a gateway for admission to its various undergraduate programmes including BBA. The national level test is conducted over 2 days in online mode. Exam registration window opens in January every year and closes by April end. The exam is held in April/May.

NPAT Eligibility:

  • The candidate must have obtained an aggregate of 60% marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
  • It is compulsory for the student to have passed in Mathematics/ Statistics in 10+2 or equivalent exam.

SET

Symbiosis Entrance Test or SET is a common entrance exam for undergraduate courses offered by various institutes of Symbiosis International University. Besides BBA, SET is also conducted for BBA IT, BCA, BA Mass Comm, B Sc Economics Honours, B Sc Liberal Arts, BA Liberal Arts and B Sc Culinary Arts. SET score is necessary for admission UG courses at Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research, Symbiosis Centre of Media and Communication, Symbiosis Centre of Management Studies, Noida, Symbiosis Centre of Management Studies, Pune, Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts and Symbiosis School of Culinary Arts.

SET is conducted in the month of May. Registrations for the exam begin in January

SET Eligibility:

  • The candidate must have complete 10+2 or equivalent examinations in relevant stream from a recognized board or university with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category students)

Christ University Entrance Test

Christ University, Bangalore, popular for its BBA and B Com programmes, conducts entrance test for its various UG courses in Management, Commerce and Law streams. The entrance exam, Christ University Entrance Test, is conducted for selective courses and BBA is one of them. Candidates can seek admission to BBA, BBA (Hons), BBA (Finance and International Business), BBA (Finance and Accountancy), BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), LLM, B Com (Hons), B Com (International Finance), B Com (Professional), BA-CEP and BHM courses through the Christ University Entrance Test.

Registrations for Christ University Entrance Test begin in December and the exam is held in April, every year.

Christ University Entrance Test Eligibility:

The candidate shall have passed class XII or equivalent (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / IGCSE / IB) in any stream from any recognized Board in India or abroad.
Candidates appearing in class XII examination may apply with their class X and class XI marks statement.

Xavier's BMS Entrance Test

St Xavier’s College, Mumbai, offers admission to Bachelor in Mass Media (BMM) and Bachelor in Management Studies (BMS), three-year degree courses on the basis of a common entrance exam. The college conducts entrance exam for BMM and BMS admissions, popularly known as Xavier’s BMS Entrance Test.

Candidates successful in this entrance exam will be called for personal interview and another written test. Admission will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in both the stages.

Xavier’s BMS Entrance Test Eligibility:

  • The candidate must have passed Class 12 exam or equivalent with aggregate of 65% marks from a recognized university or board.
  • Minimum aggregate cut-off for candidates belonging to Minority community is 60%; for SC/ST candidates the minimum cut-off is 55%.

  • The candidate must not be more than 22 years of age at the time of admission.
  • Candidates belonging to Catholic community must not be more than 24 years of age at the time of admission.
