What is IPM?

IPMAT 2023 will be conducted by IIM Indore for admission to the Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). The program is designed for students who have graduated from high school or equivalent and want to pursue a career in management. A cross-disciplinary management programme, the IPM programme at IIM Indore offers a blended course of management studies from undergraduate to postgraduate levels. At IIM Indore, the IPM programme will cover 15 terms over five years, with internship projects at the end of each term

IIM Indore’s sanctioned intake for the IPM 2023 batch (domestic applicants) is 150, and the candidate must clear the IPMAT 2023 as well as the interview process.

IPMAT 2023 (Indore): Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Aptitude Test (AT), Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). A candidate who fails either the AT, WAT, or PI is not considered.

The selection process is as follows:

Stage 1: Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria should submit their applications online.

Stage 2: After receiving applications, candidates fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria will be called for the aptitude test to be conducted in 34 cities across the country, i.e., Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh/ Mohali, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Guwahati, Gwalior Meerut, Mumbai, Nagpur, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Roorkee, Siliguri, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam. However, IIM Indore reserves the right to change the cities/ centres or cancel the centre at any time.

Stage 3: The pool of candidates eligible for Stage-4 {i.e. shortlisting for Written Ability Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI)} is created considering only candidates with positive raw scores and a minimum mark in all three sections of Aptitude Test. The Admissions Committee will determine the minimum cut-off mark for each section. Each section’s minimum cut off mark will be based on the applicant’s category. Rejected applicants will not receive individual regret letters at this stage.

Stage 4:

A sufficient number of candidates will be shortlisted for WAT & PI from the eligible pool for each category (General, EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST, and PWD).

Candidates shortlisted for WAT & PI can appear at any of the seven centers in Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata and Mumbai. IIM Indore also expects a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of the Personal Interview (PI), which will be decided by the Admissions Committee. A candidate who does not meet the minimum performance requirements in any of the PI parameters will not be considered for the next stage of selection.

Stage 5:

For the final selection, only candidates who meet the requirements mentioned earlier will be considered. Based on Composite Score (CS), a category-wise merit list will be generated, and provisional admission offers will be made accordingly.

Reservations:

In accordance with Government of India requirements, 27% of the seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy (NC-OBC) layer, 15% for Scheduled Castes (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST), up to 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs), and 5% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWD).
